2021 New Year's Letter Companion

The dead tree makes its way from our house back to Lowe's.

Sadie's first plane trip (and hanging out in Louisiana with Davis, Aunt Leah, and Maggie)!!

Tisha visits Melissa Fenner and the girls from Knoxville.

Chillin' in Daddy's office and doing some online school back in the spring.

We did some Zooming with friends during "lockdown."  (I promise I'm not asleep in this picture.)

Thanks to some stimulus money and summer teaching, we gave the house a facelift.  ("Before" on the left; "After" on the right.)

My grandma was awesome, and we'll all miss her.

Tisha is the new media coordinator at Speas Elementary, a job that required a lot of technology distribution this fall.  She's done a lot of work to get the space in order!

Sadie spent a lot of time in the backyard pool this summer and was able to get back to horseback riding.

We had to refill the pool a few times, and a new water line left a mark on our front yard.

Sadie got to hang out with her grandparents in OH.

We had a bit of fun around the water in TN.

Gideon enthusiastically reps his Harris Teeter gear as he heads out the door to work.

School looked a bit different this fall.  The kids started online (so Sadie could wear her PJs), and I was in masks with my students.

Tisha and I had a great time in Asheville celebrating my birthday and Gideon turned 17.

Despite everything, we smiled a lot as a family in 2020.
